I believe this book is well worth purchasing. It integrates basic leadership concepts into project management, and identifies ways to apply them. It is a great intoductory book on project leadership. I found that after reading the book, my interest in integrating project management and leadership has increased.

I found out about this gem of a book at a project management seminar. This book provides theoretical and practical guides to project management and leadership. It is useful for the experienced project leader -- we can always learn new techniques and tricks. It is also useful for the new project leader or the project leader wannabe -- just what have we gotten ourselves into. Every project has its differences and similarities. This text helps to transcend them.

The book may be somewhat outdated by now. Still, even after 13 years the principles laid out in this book hold true. It is a must-read for all project managers who are interested in building a solid foundation of understanding of project leadership.
